Dental Bonding

What is Dental Bonding?

Dental bonding is a cosmetic procedure that helps to enhance your natural smile and improve imperfections. If your front teeth are slightly cracked, chipped, stained or discolored, we may recommend bonding as a way to boost the confidence you have in your smile. Bonding can last for about a decade before it may need to be replaced. This makes bonding a great alternative to other cosmetic options that you might have considered in the past.

Why is Dental Bonding needed?

Dental bonding can cover an array of imperfections and flaws at the front of your smile. Because it’s long-lasting, it’s a great choice for people wanting a noninvasive way to transform their teeth. Some things that bonding can help cover and restore include:

  • Gaps and spaces between teeth
  • Chips and cracks
  • Discoloration and staining
  • Uneven teeth

“I had such a great experience here, everyone made me feel at home. Dr.Patel was so good at explain all my treatment.”

What makes you a good candidate for Dental Bonding?

Dental bonding is a noninvasive cosmetic option that often requires little to no anesthetic. It’s ideal for patients of all ages and a variety of dental needs. We will perform an exam to determine if and when you’d benefit the most from dental bonding. Because bonding can last for many years, most patients prefer this procedure over many other options.

What happens during the Dental Bonding procedure?

We begin by matching the color of your teeth with the composite material we’ll be using. We then file down and rough up the tooth where the material will be placed. A bonding gel is applied to the teeth and washed away. The composite is then placed over the tooth and smoothed into place. Next, we’ll cure the composite material with a bright light so that it stays in place. Any slight adjustments are done prior to you leaving the office. Bonding can completely transform your smile and will match perfectly so that you will not even know that it is there.

If you think you might benefit from dental bonding, call us today and we can help to answer any and all of your questions.
