Who is a good candidate for Sleep Apnea Treatment?

Most patients who have mild to moderate sleep apnea can benefit from dental-related treatment. The device is worn similarly to a night guard. It helps to stop snoring by keeping the upper airway open at all times. We will perform an examination and conduct a medical review prior to fitting you with one of these devices. Patients with mild to moderate sleep apnea are best suited for these appliances.

What happens during Sleep Apnea Treatment?

We start by taking impressions of your mouth to use in creating the new device. You will then come back in at a later date to be fitted for the new appliance. Slight adjustments help to ensure that the device fits perfectly and provides you with the sleep apnea relief that you need. It is important that you wear this device nightly in order for it to be effective. You can clean the device as you would dentures or an orthodontic retainer by brushing it and soaking it.

If you have sleep apnea and are looking for quality treatment options, call our office today and we can help in scheduling a consultation appointment for you.
